Community Mediation
Community mediation is a process during which individuals in a dispute meet to talk about a conflict with the help of trained mediators.
Community Mediation can:
* Help neighbors talk about arguments, noise problems, parking spaces, children, property issues, pets, etc...;
* Help youth talk about name-calling, fights, bullying, gossip;
* Help families talk about curfews, rules, school privileges, money.
The Peace Center coordinates mediation services provided through a collaboration with Community Conflict Services of Metropolitan St. Louis. The Peace Center both coordinates mediations and trains volunteer mediators.
If you would like to talk with someone about a potential mediation case or you are interested in being trained as a volunteer mediator, please contact Mary Hellwig at mhellwig@peacecenterstl.org
